iWannaHelp.net: NonProfit Networking Site -Get info on Charities, Volunteer, Donate, Events, and Help!

Inspired by Oprah's Big Give, iWannaHelp.net, is an internet-based 501c3 Non-Profit Networking Site. Within 1 year, iWannaHelp.net based in Naples, Florida, is making a difference in the SWFL community, with over 60 non-profit members, and 1500 contacts. Proclamations from the City of Naples, The City of Marco Island, and a letter from Florida Senator are in effect for the month of October as ‘iWannaHelp.net Month’, in preparation for ‘The March to Make a Difference’ Kick-off on October 24, 2009 in collaboration with Paul Newman's, 'Make a Difference Day'. Launched August 2008, www.iWannaHelp.net encompasses the social media networking method of communication through its interactive website for the good of the SWFL community. This NonProfit Networking Site is designed to streamline philanthropic efforts and provide an internet-based home for: non-profits, businesses, and the general public. All members of iWannaHelp.net are also able to upload a complimentary profile, in which they share scholarship information, volunteer opportunities, donations, RSVP to local events, etc. Basically, "Bridge the gap between people in need and those that wannahelp". In addition to providing an internet-based home for the community, iWannaHelp.net is committed to Helping People in Need! IWannaHelp.net empowers its members: to begin connecting with their local community thru its website, pledge to help, and nominate a local individual or family in need. Most recently, iWannaHelp.net hosted, ‘Hooked on Helping’, on June 5, 2009 with Celebrity Fisherman, Roland Martin and raised $5000 for Lisa Wilk, a local teacher in need of a kidney transplant. A VIP Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Gary Price, Naples City Councilman as Guest Speaker, was held at iWannaHelp.net’s SWFL Community Meeting, on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 6:30 PM at Books-A-Million, Mercato. Gary Price, VIP for this event, addressed the importance of community involvement and philanthropic efforts.
